Paul Robinson has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth is looking for a new club due to the limited game-time he’s received since Jose Mourinho’s arrival in North London.

Speaking to Football Insider, the former England and Spurs goalkeeper believes the 22-year-old is becoming increasingly frustrated by the situation he finds himself in.

Foyth’s agent Claudio Curti was quoted in December as saying “we are evaluating the possibility of going out in the January market” and the 40-year-old has put two and together.

On the defender, Robinson said: “It’s an interesting one because the manager has said he wants to keep him around, he likes what he’s seen in training and he wants to get him more game time.

Does Juan Foyth have a future at Spurs?

No

“But that didn’t happen, that hasn’t happened and if that is the case then maybe he’s looking to get away.  Any footballer who is not playing is going to be frustrated.”

TIF Tactics – Frozen out?

Foyth has made just four Premier League appearances so far this season and seven in all competitions, most of which came under the previous manager Mauricio Pochettino who was sacked by the club back in November.

The Argentina international is currently valued at £13.5m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk and remains highly-rated in his native country for whom he has 11 caps.

The central-defender arrived at Spurs from Estudiantes in La Plata for a fee believed to be in the region of £11.7m back in the summer of 2017 but now seemingly finds himself at a crossroads.

Foyth’s last appearance came in the disappointing 2-2 draw versus Norwich where he played for 45 minutes and he wasn’t even named in the squad for either of Spurs’ last two Premier League games against Southampton or Liverpool.

But perhaps more surprisingly he was left out of the squad that took on Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at the Riverside before only being named on the bench for the replay.
