Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is ‘very close’ to agreeing on a move Liga MX side C.F. Monterrey, despite receiving a number of offers from the MLS, according to a report by 24horas.cl.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper was, perhaps brought to the Etihad in order to assist Pep Guardiola in implementing his style of football which requires his goalkeeper to be comfortable with the ball at his feet.
However, that didn’t work out as planned and as a result, he was soon replaced by Ederson from Benfica who has since established himself as the number one.
With Bravo seemingly about to end his three-and-a-half-year association with the club, it appears the fans can’t wait to see the back of him after being informed of the news on Twitter by Man City Xtra.

What do we think?
Bravo has made 56 appearances for the club to date, keeping 17 clean sheets in the process. Now, with it seeming to be in the twilight of his career, it’s clear the Chilean isn’t the goalkeeper he once was, but when he does eventually retire he will be able to look back on a fantastic career that’s seen him collect winners medals for the Copa America, the Champions League and two La Liga titles.
Indeed, it does not appear as though many of the Man City faithful will be too disappointed to see him depart the Etihad.
