Spurs fans reacted to news that Newcastle United are interested in bringing in Danny Rose during this month’s transfer window.
According to the Telegraph (via Talking THFC), Newcastle United could offer Rose an ‘escape route’ from Spurs with the England international having lost his place in the Spurs side following the arrival of Jose Mourinho. The 29-year-old has featured just 16 times this season, five of which have come under the Portuguese manager.
In his rare appearances, Rose has struggled to find any sort of form; having averaged a disappointing 6.52 rating so far this campaign and has found himself out of the side despite the long-term injury suffered by fellow left-back Ben Davies. A move to Newcastle could potentially suit both parties but would leave Mourinho with just Jan Vertonghen and Ryan Sessegnon able to play that position; with neither being a natural left-back.

They can have him.
Been awful this season, and much of last season.
Also the talking to the media is unsettling…and annoying— days without a striker (@MattyFrench82) January 21, 2020
Poison, negative voice around the camp. 3 Great years 2014-2017 but he’s not the player he was

Some Spurs fans would clearly love to see Rose make the move to Steve Bruce’s side this month.
What do we think?
If Spurs can cash in on their £18-million rated man this month, rather than potentially losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires, then they should definitely try and do so.
