Sheffield United have stunned the Premier League with their impressive start to the season. With the league halfway over, Sheffield United are still very much in contention for a top-five finish (Sky Sports). The Blades’ success is down to a combination of Chris Wilder’s influence and the players’ performances.
When the January transfer window opened, Sheffield United wasted no time. Following their defeat to Liverpool, the side announced the signing of Jack Rodwell.
“It was an honour for me to come here and I’m really grateful for the opportunity. It’s up to me to do the business now,” said Rodwell (Sheffield United).
Sheffield United fans were quick to welcome Rodwell to the team. They were many supporters who were excited by his arrivals.

Do you think signing Rodwell was a good move by Wilder?
Yes
No
Other fans are sceptical of the baggage associated with Rodwell. They know his murky past and the bad press associated with the player. They are hoping he can turn his career around at Bramall Lane though. Wilder has spoken about the criticism of the player and suggests that he isn’t worried one bit (Sky Sports).
Last chance saloon Jack, don’t do a Morrison and grasp this chance with both hands.

Fine as a squad player.

What do we think?
If Sheffield United can help unlock Rodwell’s potential they will have a seriously good player on their hands. But it will be up to the player to determine whether he can unlock that potential or not.
