Following Birmingham City’s 3-2 defeat to Wigan in the Championship, the club announced that Steve Seddon would be leaving the club for Portsmouth. The move will see Seddon move to Portsmouth, who currently play in EFL League One, on loan until the end of the season (Birmingham City).
After the club announced the news the Birmingham City fans couldn’t believe it. They think that Seddon should be in the manager’s 18 man squad every match. With all the defensive frailties in the squad, they don’t see how they can afford to let a player like Seddon go.
So what if peds gets injured next game grounds back? I think its a bad move we need him I would of played sat v Blackburn maybe put peds cb with dean with seddon back at lb but ok

Why not play Pedersen at centre half and Seddon left back…instead of playing midfielders in defence?

Could have done with him yesterday couldn’t have been any worse than that defence we picked

Absolutely ridiculous should be in the 18 man squad regularly. In fact should been in the team over the last month. Ren and Pep must go immediately

Do you think Seddon will have a place in the Birmingham City squad next season?
Yes
No
A few fans felt for Seddon. While they are unhappy to see him leave, they recognise that this is a move that benefits the player. He needs to be playing regular first-team football.
Good move for him. Not the announcement we wanted though

We have shortages at the back and a young lad that more than proved himself at this level at the start of the season. What logic have the club used to arrive at this situation? Beyond belief

What do we think?
The 22-year-old will hope to prove Pep Clotet that he has what it takes to make it at Birmingham City when on load to Portsmouth. Should he do well enough, perhaps they will be a spot for him in the team next year after his return.
