Liverpool fans have been mocking recent comments made by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about Manchester United.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by the United manager after their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.
After the defeat, Solskjaer claimed that his team have taken “strides forward” by being “in the game until the last kick of the ball” as Mohamed Salah scored Liverpool’s second goal at the end of the match.
Do you agree with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's comments?

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were reluctant to pass up an opportunity to make fun of United.

United fell behind at Anfield after Virgil van Dijk scored the opening goal of the game with a towering header past David De Gea in the United net.
As the match drew to a close, Salah put the nail in the coffin by scoring once again to double the home side’s lead. After the match, Solskjaer’s strange assessment of his team caught the attention of some Liverpool fans on Twitter.
It’s bizarre that MU now accept mediocrity with not one top player in the side, not one would make the Liverpool squad, long may it continue !!

What do we think?
The fact that Solskjaer sees being just 1-0 down until the end of the match before conceding a second goal as being positive is a strange thing to say. Surely winning the game would be a stride forward? For the Liverpool fans, this comment just provides another opportunity to rub salt in many United fans’ wounds.
