These Liverpool fans were raving about Yasser Larouci after the club wished him a happy birthday on their Twitter account.
Yasser Larouci is just 19 years old and currently playing at Premier League 2 level. The left-back has played nine matches in the development league this season and has also featured twice in the EFL Trophy, but is yet to appear in the first-team at Anfield.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans had to say about their talented young left-back, with some suggesting that he could be the back-up to Andrew Robertson, or even turn into their own version of Adama Traore, who has been excelling for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season and won praise from Jurgen Klopp:

Would you like to see Yasser Larouci be a backup to Andrew Robertson?
Yes
No
Transfermarkt has valued the 19-year-old at £1.8m, which is a sizeable amount for such a young left-back and perhaps warrants all the excitement and buzz many of the Liverpool fans appear to have been generating around his name.

What Do We Think?
Yasser Larouci is definitely one for the future, having played in five matches in the UEFA Youth League where he scored and assisted once. The young man’s career started out at Le Havre U19‘s, but he has since played for Liverpool’s U18 and U23‘s.
One to keep an eye on for sure and possibly a player Jurgen Klopp could turn to, should Andrew Robertson get injured or suspended.
