A lot of Leicester City fans were glad to see Jamie Vardy return after missing the last few matches with a calf strain.
Vardy did not manage to score, but he did set up Kelechi Iheanacho for Leicester’s goal in their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
Will Vardy pick up from where he left off?
Yes
No
The Foxes fell behind but dragged themselves level in the second half and head to Villa Park knowing everything is to play for.
These Leicester supporters, though, were delighted to have Vardy back.
Great comeback last night and still all to play for! Thanks for your support as always ???? @LCFC pic.twitter.com/qmrQHgBqH1

Great to see you back Jamie. For whatever reason it wasn’t quite there last night. As you say still all to play for. ?

Never a booking. Don’t do a Gazza in the 2nd leg?. Keep doing what you do.

A lead would of been better. But we have already beat them there.

Some Fantasy Premier League players were also pleased to have Vardy back.

What do we think?
Since Brendan Rodgers took over Leicester Jamie Vardy has been unstoppable.
Overall, he has scored 26 goals and is the Premier League’s top goalscorer this season.
Leicester did well without Vardy managing to win both league matches and their FA Cup game.
However, the return of Vardy could see the Foxes step up a gear as they prepare to host Southampton, who they embarrassed 9-0 at St Mary’s earlier in the season.
