Supporters of Everton have been discussing Muhamed Besic’s future with the Toffees following a Twitter post from David Alexander Hughes.
On Wednesday morning, the Merseyside journalist shared his article by asking supporters if the Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder has a future at Goodison Park (per David Alexander Hughes), to which some did not think so.
Well… does he? https://t.co/2SiAp4RqXt

Not good enough. Move him on.

Like Niasse, he’s had 7 managers at EFC. Only one wanted him.

Not for me.

Simple answer, no. He’s barely started games in the premier league this season, had fleeting sub appearances so he can’t of done enough at Sheff Utd yet

Should Everton keep Muhamed Besic at the end of his loan or look to sell him?Keep him, could do a jobSell him, not good enough |
While on loan with Sheffield United so far this term, the 27-year-old midfielder, who is valued at £2.7 million (as per Transfermarkt), has featured in 13 games in all competitions for Chris Wilder’s side, in which he has scored once and assisted zero (per Transfermarkt).
With an average rating for the season of 6.58/19 (as per WhoScored), some fans felt that the middleman was worth a chance with the Toffees at least.
Very unpopular opinion: I’d have Besic back today and would start him over Davies, Delph, Sigurdsson & Schneiderlin. Even if he ran himself in to the ground n got injured, it’s better than lack of effort what we have now who pick up regular knocks without puttin in a shift.

Besic is an okay player, and would add recovery speed and movement to a midfield of crabs. However, Gomes’ stats in terms of moving the ball forward and contributing in the final third are the concerning part of the article, in my opinion.

What do we think?
While the question is certainly there to be asked, Besic has only featured in 245 minutes of Premier League action for the Blades (per Transfermarkt) and over those minutes his average rating has been poor (per WhoScored).
If Everton are to progress then they need to leave players who have not stepped up to the plate previously (per Transfermarkt) in the past and keep moving forward.
