Here’s a sample of Villa fans discussing Samatta’s debut performance:
He is getting into areas that Wesley wasn’t. Hitting the 6-yard box hoping to get onto the end of crosses. Bodes well for the future. #itsbeenmissing

6/10.
Done OK, not expecting a world class performance today it’s just important he gets into the game and I think when he’s been involved he’s done alright.

Very average but let’s give him time to get involved with the team

Villa will have to learn to play him differently to Wes, he plays on the shoulder, so would suit Jack playing more central and just off him, to feed clever through balls

First match with the team, did very well. Missed a really good cross, but more importantly created space as Leicester new he was a threat and had to mark him close. Excited to see him build on this. 7

The Tanzanian recently signed to Dean Smith’s side from KRC Genk in the Belgian league (per Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
It’s good to see that the Villa fans are willing to give Samatta time to settle into his new club. His first game for Villa earned the striker a match rating of 6.0 according to WhoScored, despite this rating, it seems that most Villa fans were pleased with what they saw from the striker.
