Footage of new Everton signing Jarrad Branthwaite scoring a goal for Carlisle United has left Everton fans gushing over the signing.
On Tuesday morning, the only goal scored by the central-defender for the Cumbrians was posted to social media (via Toffee TV), which the quality of had fans delighted with their 17-year-old acquisition.
Some of the Everton fans even picked up on the forward runs Manchester United’s Harry Maguire likes to make, with GiveMeSport detailing one of the times he took on five Brighton and Hove Albion players with the ball when he was still a Leicester City player.

The young Englishman featured for Carlisle on 11 occasions during this season, in which he played 945 minutes and picked up one yellow card (as per Transfermarkt).
With the fee for the signing believed to be around the £750,000 mark (via Liverpool Echo), fans appear to be delighted with Branthwaite following the footage.

What do we think?
As supporters have stated, the run and goal from Branthwaite is an example of real quality and almost Harry Maguire-esque from the youngster.
Should he be able to continue the development that he started whilst with the Cumbrians and realise the potential that is evident, he could turn out to be a snip at three-quarters of a million.
