Everton are not willing to increase their offer for Inter’s Matias Vecino – that’s according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla.
It’s understood that the Serie A giants and the Merseysider’s are unable to agree on a fee for the central-midfielder. Inter are understood to be demanding €20m (£17m) whereas Everton believe their offer of €14m (£11.9m) plus add ons is sufficient.
Vecino was left out of the weekend’s squad to face Cagliari and the reports from Italy claim both the player and his club are keen to put the uncertainty around his future to bed – ideally by moving the 28-year-old on before the end of the month.
Should Everton just pay the €20m Inter want for Vecino?
Yes
No
What have the Everton fans made of the fact their club appear to be unwilling to match the Nerazzurri’s valuation?
There goes that then

What do we think?
Vecino signed for Inter from Fiorentina back in 2017 for £21.6m (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) but the Uruguayan hasn’t been in the squad for either of the clubs last two Serie A fixtures. He’s made 88 appearances for the Milan club but it appears as though his days at the San Siro are numbered.
Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt have a strong knowledge of the talent that’s available in Italy but thats not to say he and Everton will be willing to pay over the odds for players. A deal for the 28-year-old now appears unlikely but it’s nothing for the Evertonian’s to lose any sleep over.
