This week, Crystal Palace announced that Victor Camarasa was headed back to Real Betis after the club ended his loan agreement. The player has played a combined total of 95 minutes of football this season, just five of which were in the Premier League (transfermarkt.co.uk).
When the club announced the news on Twitter, fans questioned why the player was never given a real chance? They don’t understand why the club decided to end the loan agreement with the player without being given a real chance to prove himself at the first-team level. Some are suspicious that there were other issues that were not shared.
Would be interesting to hear the real reasons behind this but doubt we ever will ????? what a waste!

I think the poor man has a real case for a grievance. The lack of playing time can only be about money. Not sure you treated him very well at all @CPFC

Would love to know why this didnt work or he barely got game time. Solid player, some Premier League experience and scores goals

Do you think letting Victor Camarasa leaving Crystal Palace is the right decision?
Yes
No
A few others aren’t that upset to see the player leave. One fan saw him play with the U23s and wasn’t impressed at all. Another fan questions the club’s ability effectively to scout players.
I saw him play for the U23s a few months ago and was amazed how unadventurous and limited his play was. Can’t blame Roy for not using him more.

You have to question our scouting system and why we are wasting time and money on these sort of players. Isn’t the first time it has happened either. @CEO4TAG #cpfc

What do we think?
At the end of the day, the loan deal coming to an end won’t change much for Crystal Palace fans. Camarasa clearly wasn’t going to have a fulfilling career with the Eagles, so perhaps Roy Hodgson decided to cut his losses when he could?
