Crystal Palace had to settle for a draw against Arsenal on the weekend. The draw marked Palace’s fourth game in a row without a win but considering that Arsenal are in the middle of a new manager boost with the arrival of Mikel Arteta, taking a point from the match doesn’t seem too bad. After the match, the club shared a quote from young full-back Jairo Riedewald.
“You can always improve. I was happy; I won a few challenges and played a few good long balls to Jordan and Wilf,” said the left-back (Crystal Palace).
Fans of the Eagles encouraged the player. There were impressed by his initial performance and can see him turning into a really good player under Roy Hodgson.

Imagine not playing him the whole of last season and now you’ve come to realise he’s actually banging

Who would you start?
Patrick van Aanholt
Jairo Riedewald
Others think he has done enough to earn a place ahead of Patrick van Aanholt. They plead with the club not to drop him.
if you dare drop him for pva i will do unspeakable things

been saying it from day one, excellent footballer, a natural at freekicks aswell, a natural leader, i want to see him in full time instead of PVA. Needs more gametime to get up to match sharpness then we really see the best of him

Looks like we might’ve solved the left back position.Hope Roy sticks with him, looks far more assured than Patrick.

What do we think?
If the player continues to play as well as he is, it could save the Eagles some money in the transfer window. If nothing else, it appears as though the club has found a new fan favourite.
