These West Brom fans were raving about Filip Krovinovic’s goal against Barnsley on Twitter.

After 20 Championship appearances, Krovinovic had finally scored his first goal of the season against Barnsley on Boxing Day. However, West Brom conceded late in the game, leaving the Baggies fans and players walking away with just a point, despite Krovinovic’s goal coming in the fifth minute of the game.

Here’s what the West Brom fans had to say about Krovinovic’s early goal:

WhoScored gave the Croatian midfielder the highest rating out of all the West Brom players, with Krovinovic finishing the match with a rating of 7.7/10 and fans were clearly delighted to have seen the 24-year-old finally get his name on the scoresheet with a wonderful effort.

What Do We Think?

Goalscoring has never been something that comes easily for Krovinovic, with the 24-year-old only scoring seven times in his whole senior professional club career.

The Croatian, who is valued at £4.5 million (Transfermarkt), only had one shot in the match against Barnsley, but that turned out to be the only shot he needed to net his first goal of the Championship season. It was nice to see the fans backing him and they will be hoping that this goal will now help him kick on and score more frequently in the future.
