A 2-1 win at Parkhead was the perfect holiday present for Rangers fans. Their team found redemption after losing in the Scottish League Cup Final earlier in the month to their rivals. The win puts them in pole position to take over first place in the league assuming they can win their game in hand.
After the match, manager Steven Gerrard exploded with emotion. It was clear to fans how much the victory meant to him. Later in the evening, the club posted a picture of the gaffer’s celebration on Twitter. Supporters were thrilled to see the manger’s passion showing.
SG’s reaction at full-time was so full of joy and determination. I’m proud to say he’s our manager

Does Gerrard deserve most of the credit for Rangers' recent success?
Yes
No
One fan suggests that the Liverpool legend has found a new team to love. He thinks that Gerrard bleeds blue now. Another admits that they were sceptical at Gerrard’s appointment. There is no questioning that he is the right man for the job now though.
Love it, the passion he shown at the end, his eyes watering up before he skelped the camera out his face. Stevie G has blue blood running through his viens now

I’m the first to admit I was underwhelmed by his appointment but last season and this has proved me wrong. Sometimes he needs to hold his tongue with the press but other than that, doing a phenomenal job.

What do we think?
Gerrard had shown the Gers fans exactly why the club hired him. They have full faith that he can get the job done. If he can pull out performances like he did against Celtic on the weekend, there is no reason he can’t take his team the whole way.
