While many Rangers fans are thinking about their dream January signings, others are being more realistic. They are discussing the players who need to make way before replacements can come in. Moving players on is obviously a tough part of being a coach.
One Rangers fans account, BMC Rangers Rants, posted a list of all the players they thought should be moved on in the winter window. One of the players listed was Wes Foderingham. Foderingham is Steven Gerrard’s backup goalkeeper behind Allan McGregor and it appears many fans don’t think he should be moved on quite yet.
I would keep Doherty, Halliday and Foderingham.

Is Foderingham a necessity that Rangers can't afford to lose?
Yes
No
Some fans point out that should Foderingham leave, there would be no backup to McGregor.
Agree, but we will need cover for McGregor

What do we think?
Squad balance is an important part of being a successful football team. If Foderingham were to leave and McGregor were to pickup and injury or suspension, it could seriously hinder the team’s chances of success. For that reason, these fans think it is vital that they keep him.
