With the Old Firm being just a few days away, it was announced that the match official for the game would be Kevin Clancy. Refereeing can play a huge role in the outcome of a game where tackles are likely to start flying from the opening whistle. Unfortunately for Clancy, his reputation precedes him. And not in a good way.
The Rangers fans’ responses to this news were less than enthusiastic. They reckon this game is one of the biggest of the year, and that Clancy is likely to make a mess of the whole situation. They think that the Celtic players will get away with anything.

What do we think?
It is clear from the comments that there are many Rangers fans who are unimpressed with this announcement. On the other hand, there are quite a few who believe they are good enough to win the game regardless of the adversity. Until the two teams face-off, however, we will never know.
