It was a special moment for Greg Stewart after he scored a brace on the weekend for Rangers, despite only getting on the field for 15 minutes. But Stewart’s first goal had added significance. It was the 10,000th goal scored by Rangers in the league.
This news was shared by Rangers Culture on Twitter. They asked fans to recall their favourite goal scored by the team in the league. Fans were encouraged to post a picture of the goal that meant the most to them. Many fans picked out goals from Old Firm matches, such as one from Brian Laudrup in 1996. Others chose more recent goals from James Tavernier and Ryan Jack. Another remembers a goal scored by Sone Aluko in 2012 that stopped Celtic winning the league.
