Despite the score only being 1-0, Rangers managed to beat Kilmarnock on Boxing Day. The win could have been much larger, however, if Steven Gerrard had turned to Alfredo Morelos sooner. The Colombian didn’t start the match, probably because he is set to start in the Old Firm on the weekend. But with the score remaining 0-0, Gerrard brought his star player on in the 58th minute. Just seven minutes later, he scored.
Fans were able to relive the memory a day later after Rangers’ Twitter account posted footage of the goal. The supporters suggested that the late goals always mean the most, but they would still rather Gerrard start him from the get-go. They never want to see Morelos benched again.
Beautiful from El Buffalo

Will Morelos score his first goal against Celtic on the weekend?
Yes
No
Other fans responded to rumours that Morelos’ goal should have been called offside. The Rangers’ tweet clearly shows him in an onside position when the pass is made.
Yesterday I thought just maybe we got away with one?..But no it was definitely onside

What do we think?
Morelos is a very important part of Gerrard’s team. Hopefully, for fans, he can prove to be as big as an impact and he can end his goal drought against Celtic on the weekend and win the Old Firm for his team.
