While the game against Hibernian ended with a 3-0 win for the Gers, there were some controversies that surfaced during the game. One of those controversies was the excessive force being thrown into tackles by Hibs players. The defenders were flying into challenges dangerously, however, the referee was relatively lenient.
After the match, one fan account posted a video showcasing the difference between a tackle on a Rangers player versus that of one of their rival’s player. The account believes that preferential treatment is shown towards their fierce rival’s players, while Rangers players receive little protection from the referees. Fans called upon the Scottish FA to do something about the inconsistencies.
the celtic tackle actually won the ball. all he did against davis was nearly break his leg . not biased but definitely an agenda ignoring assault against the bears

Lunging in dangerously like that is a sending off in today’s game wether you take the ball or not but I think the main point here is the hammer thrower had 5 or 6 of them including the much worse challenge on Davis which he only got booked for and lasted 90 mins on the park

The problem is these hammer throwers are allowed to injure Rangers players!, it’s blatant, against Hibs there were numerous assaults on our players in the 1st 15 minutes and it just continued, Rangers player is going to get a broken leg soon @ScottishFA @spfl

Do you think there is a biased shown against Rangers players?
Yes
No
They believe a blind eye is thrown whenever a Rangers player suffers. They question why compliance officers aren’t being involved.
He should never even have been on the pitch to be allowed to make that challenge, due the fact his challenge on Davis was at least worthy of a 3 match ban. But no-one will dare talk about it

And where’s this compliance officer gone all of a sudden?
You know the one, the one that was all over Morelos last year and fast tracked McGregor’s red v Aberdeen?— Blu Stu (@blustugers) December 22, 2019
The silence from the Compliance Officer has been deafening

What do we think?
Whether there is a bias or not, the players must be protected. These Rangers fans do have concerns. Judging from the footage shown, they have good reason to be concerned.
