He is exactly what we need. I’ve been excited about his potential signing. He’s similar in style to Fabino and can play DM & CM. Huge potential yet producing great performances for over 18 months or more. Including CL!

What do we think?
Given that Berge predominantly plays in the defensive midfield position, it makes perfect sense for the Reds to launch a move for him as Fabinho is set to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
Berge is currently valued at £19.8 million, according to Transfermarkt, so if Klopp does want to bring the 21-year-old to Anfield in January, he will have to dip into the club’s transfer funds.
The midfielder has averaged 1.8 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 2 clearances and 1.2 dribbles in the Champions League this season (WhoScored), as well as an 82 % pass success rate, so he could be valuable when it comes to breaking up attacks and then getting the ball moving quickly to hit the opposition on the counter attack.
