Liverpool fans have been criticising former club owner Tom Hicks on Twitter over his latest interview.
This comes after James Pearce commented on Tom Hicks following the former Liverpool owner’s comments.
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their frustrations with the former owner.
Is Tom Hicks the worst owner Liverpool has had?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans not happy with Hicks:
#lfc so so lucky to have got rid of Hicks and Gillett.

Horrible how almost every answer reverted to how much money he wished he’d made. Says everything you need to know about the man.

All Hicks was thinking about was the £1.5b he missed out. The guy is a sorry case and glad #LFC LFC got rid of this oil snake sales man. To make matters worse he is also a Trumpster. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Who conducted the interview and why?

Hicks took over the Merseyside club back in 2007 after buying out David Moores’ shares (Sky Sports).
One thing that certainly didn’t go down well with Liverpool fans during his time at the club was the alleged email he sent to a fan in a row over Rafa Benitez’s transfer budget at the time.
The American’s time in charge of Liverpool is not looked back on well by most Reds fans who think Hicks left the club in a worse state than it was when he took over.
So true all he wanted to make money and drown the club in huge debt

Can’t imagine why anyone would want to interview him. Been talking nonsense for years.

They nearly destroyed the club. Look how long it has taken to rebuild and be back at the top consistently and not disposing of key top players

What do we think?
It seems like Hicks is someone that most people at Anfield are quick to forget about. Thankfully he left the club before things got worse and the Reds are now thriving under current owner John W. Henry and head coach Jurgen Klopp. Indeed, times have changed and the Reds’ investment in players has seen them become arguably Europe’s best side, as well as the frontrunners in the race for the Premier League title, so things are looking up.
To avoid anymore backlash from Liverpool fans, maybe it would be wise for Hicks to not talk about the club again.
