A loss to Middlesbrough on the weekend stretched Charlton’s winless streak to eight (WhoScored.com). Luckily for fans, the team is still clear of the relegation zone. But their form is worrying. If it continues for any longer, they could struggle to stay clear of the drop zone (Sky Sports).
That’s why when Macauley Bonne tweeted out to fans, his message meant so much more. He promised the fans that the team had been working tirelessly for the midweek match against Huddersfield and were determined to leave everything on the field. The supporters appreciated the message and claimed that maximum effort is all they ask for from their players.
All we ask is maximum effort and 3 points #cafc

Does Macauley Bonne's message show a mental strength from the team?
Yes
No
They love his attitude, claiming that he gets it.

You just get it, Macca. .

What do we think?
Bonne’s words will mean nothing if they are not backed up with a meaningful performance though. It will take a team effort to win the game, despite Huddersfield being even further down the league than Charlton. By the sounds of it, though, the whole team is ready for the match.
