A lot of Leeds United fans have reacted to the latest news around a potential takeover by QSI. (Qatari Sports Investment)
The company, who also owns PSG, have had discussions with Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani.
According to the Daily Star (via the BBC), the group are close to securing a stake in the club that could lead to a full takeover if promotion is sealed.
Would this be a wise move by Radrizzani?
Yes, outside investment will help Leeds reach their potential
No, It could lead to sportswashing
This news, though, has had a mixed response from many Whites supporters – some believe that it is brilliant.
The owners of Paris St-Germain are close to securing a stake in Leeds United that could lead to a £120m takeover.

One fan even claimed that a potential takeover could result in James Milner joining, which could prove to be correct as he recently suggested a possible future move back to Leeds.

Other Leeds fans, though, do not want to be taken over by QSI.
I also don’t want it to happen. Blood money and I’d rather all the really rich clubs were taken to task than be part of the problem for everybody else. Football needs to become competitive again but not like this.

I don’t want Leeds United to belong to some Sheikh.

A few other Leeds fans do not believe the story.
Yawn heard it 100 times already probably another TOMA

No big news so reeling this out again. It’s getting boring, speculation after speculation, nothing new has happened.
Please just tell us when it’s real….

What do we think?
Radrizzani last season secured investment from the San Francisco 49ers and has also confirmed that he was talking to QSI as well as two other investors, but since that interview with The Times in October, nothing more has happened.
The Leeds owner has admitted that he does not have the funds to run the club on his own and is looking for outside investment.
He has good connections with QSI, and if the Star are to be believed, then Leeds could be getting some serious investment in the next year.
The first aim, though, no matter what, is promotion.
The Whites back in the Premier League are a much more attractive prospect than Leeds in the Championship – so it is up to Marcelo Bielsa and his squad to ensure that Leeds are in the top-flight next season.
