Some Celtic fans have been left confused and puzzled by a tweet that the club’s midfielder Olivier Ntcham sent out about an upcoming game for the Hoops.
The Hoops are currently at the top of the Premiership table and picked up a 2-0 win over Hearts on Wednesday to extend their lead at the top of the table to up to five points (BBC).
Rangers are at second and are set to play Hibernian away from home on Friday, as they look to close the gap on the Bhoys.
Celtic fans: Would you forgive Ntcham?
It's an honest error
He should know more!
But Ntcham posted a message on Twitter that talked about the Old Firm when the game is still some weeks away. This left some Celtic fans confused.
Oli you’ve had a mare here.
There is no Derby match!
They play in the English Championship.
Not even in the right country mate.— seanzolio (@seanzolio) December 19, 2019
The Old Firm died in 1994 along with the old Celtc

What’s an old firm?

Poor guy being hammered for using the term Old Firm – English not even his first language. Just score against them & you can wear that victory outfit again maybe.
But as been pointed out by others… one game at a time, take nothing for granted!

Ntcham, the Manchester City youth product, was on target in the Hoops’ latest 2-0 win over Hearts. It was Ryan Christie who had scored the other goal for Neil Lennon’s men (BBC).
This season, the midfielder has played 25 times in all competitions for the Bhoys. He has racked up a tally of five goals and has also assisted four times so far. In the clash against Rangers in the Premiership earlier this season, he had come on from the bench. In the League Cup final against the Gers, he had been on the bench.
He has already contributed to more goals this season than he did last season. He had played 37 times in all competitions last season, scoring six times and assisting once.
This season, Ntcham came up with a historic moment when he scored a stoppage-time winner for the club in a 2-1 win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in the UEFA Europa League.
What do we think?
That error from Ntcham, who is valued at £4.28 million (as per Transfermarkt), was probably an innocent one. The Glasgow Derby – as Celtic fans might call it – is still globally known as the Old Firm because of how it is traditionally known to be. It would be unfair to blame Ntcham for that.
