Some Celtic fans are hailing Ryan Christie and Jeremie Frimpong after the duo’s impressive show in the club’s recent win over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.

Ross County got beaten 4-1 by the Hoops and Christie grabbed a brace of his own, days after his goal against Rennes in the UEFA Europa League recently (BBC).

Young right-back Frimpong also made another appearance, starting at right-back for the third consecutive game in the Premiership (TransferMarkt).

Frimpong recently asked Hoops fans to caption an image of himself and Christie. Some Hoops fans are buzzing and comparing them Barcelona icons Lionel Messi and Dani Alves.

Will Ryan Christie and Jeremie Frimpong become Celtic legends?

Frimpong, 18, joined Celtic from Premier League Champions Manchester City this past summer. Since arriving, he has grown in his role at the Hoops and has played seven times in all competitions for them, scoring once and assisting twice.

Before arriving, Frimpong had also played three times for the City Under-23s side this season and had one assist to his name as well.

As for Christie, he has been one of Celtic’s most influential players this season. He has racked up a tally of 15 goals– the highest at the club. He also boasts of a tally of ten assists too.

The Scotsman arrived at the club from Inverness in the summer of 2015 for a fee of £500,000. He has only grown in stature since then.

What do we think?

With Frimpong in the side, Celtic have scored 20 times in six games in the Premiership. Without him, they have scored seven times in five games only. It just shows what impact Frimpong brings going forward and the attacking might he adds to the side.

Christie’s impact can’t be understated either. He has contributed to a total of 25 goals this season and that is already more than how much he did last season when he had contributed to 20 goals in 38 appearances in total.
