Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been calling for the club to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic in the upcoming January transfer window.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by the Daily Mail that the club are “heavily interested” in making a move for the striker.

The Serbian has been a standout performer in the Championship for Fulham this season. In 22 appearances in the Championship so far this season, Mitrovic has scored 16 goals and picked up one assist along the way (per TransferMarkt). With this great goal-scoring record, it’s clear to see why some Villa fans have been getting excited over this latest rumour linking him to Villa Park.

What do we think?
If Villa can lure Mitrovic away from Fulham in January, he has the potential to vastly improve Villa’s attacking force. With first-choice striker Wesley having only scored four Premier League goals so far this season, Mitrovic could help lighten the load on his shoulders, as well as firing Villa up the table.
