Aston Villa fans have been fuming on Twitter over Frank Lampard’s recent comments on Jack Grealish.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page relaying Lampard’s quotes saying that Grealish “unfortunately” goes “looking for fouls” after seeing his side beat Villa 2-1 on Wednesday.
This post also contained an article from the Birmingham Mail about Lampard’s comments.
This then led to a large number of Villa fans replying to the post with their disappointments over Lampard’s assessment of Grealish.
Does Jack Grealish purposely look for fouls?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans unhappy with the Chelsea boss:
Pure bitterness for being battered last year by Villa and Grealish. He gets kicked up in the air every game.

The issue is this talented player dribbles past opponents whose only option is to commit themselves to a foul. Dribbling and being talented is not an offence. FOULING is!

Tell you what Frank-get your players to beat him fair and square then. Get the ball off him. Good luck with that.

Grealish played 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge, earning himself a total match rating of 7.0 according to WhoScored. But despite winning the game, Lampard still felt the need to highlight the number of fouls Grealish won in the game.
These comments then made many Villa fans put in their own opinions on Grealish.
Gets body inbetween player and ball the only way to get that said ball is through grealish, therefore gets fouled, doesnt go looking for fouls great ball retention if anything else

He doesn’t have to go looking they just seem to find him

Difference between looking for fouls and being a player who draws players in because he knows he can just glide past them and take them out the game – which inevitably brings fouls..

What do we think?
It’s no player’s intention to be constantly fouled on the pitch. But with Grealish, he is so skilful on the ball that the easiest way to get the ball off him is to foul him. This has happened many times to Eden Hazard.
