Aston Villa fans have been calling on Twitter for the club not to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara in January.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by the Daily Mail that the Rangers midfielder is a “top target” for Villa.
This post then gathered a number of replies from disgruntled Villa fans who were not pleased with this latest transfer link.
Should Villa go for Glen Kamara in January?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting negatively to the post:
Would rather have Chris.
Unbelievable.

We need top players. Not “maybe top players”. We need to stop shopping in the bargain bin.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder, who is currently valued at £765k according to TransferMarkt, has made 29 appearances for the Scottish club so far this season in all competitions (per TransferMarkt). The post also claims that the club are eyeing up Kamara as a replacement for the injured John McGinn who is currently out for three months with an ankle ligament injury.
Despite Villa reportedly looking to fill the void left by McGinn, some Villa fans don’t think Kamara is the right person for it.
Really hope not

He’s finished!

I’d rather Glenn Whelan back tbh

What do we think?
If Villa are looking to fill the hole left by the injured McGinn, Kamara would certainly be a cheap option. But with the midfielder having made so many appearances for Rangers so far this season, would they be open to letting him go halfway through the season?
