Aston Villa fans have been tweeting their excitement over a claim made by Darren Bent which relates to a possible move for Jarrod Bowen.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Birmingham Mail which states that Darren Bent has claimed (Football Insider) Bowen would be keen on a move to Villa Park.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were overjoyed with this update.
Should Villa sign Jarrod Bowen in January?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting to the post:
Any striking additions would be great! Then we could go 352 or 442. Need goal scoring options!

This guy is exactly what we need.

His a promising player, 16 goals so far in a mid table championship team his strong and intelligent..
I’d also like to see us bring in a more experienced striker who is proven at the top level and will hit the ground running.
Who ? I dont no .— masalamoon (@masalamoons) December 30, 2019
Bowen has been one of the Championship’s standout performers so far this season. The 23-year-old winger, who is currently valued at £9 million according to TransferMarkt, has made 26 appearances for Hull in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and picking up five assists along the way (per TransferMarkt).
This Bowen claim had some Villa fans calling for the winger to make the move.
Get him in!

Well that’s a better ratio than Abraham ! And we would have taken him wouldn’t we

He would be a good addition but more is needed. Even if we were 10th in the table we would still be signing Bowen simply bec he is a quality young player with upside. No one player we sign in Jan will save us.

What do we think?
If Villa can sign Bowen in January, he would provide a big boost for an Aston Villa attacking force that has had to rely on the club’s midfielders pick up the slack, with Wesley only bagging five goals up until this point.
It’s clear to see that Bowen can score and create in the Championship, but making the step up to the Premier League is extremely difficult, which Jota has proven so far this season.
