Aston Villa fans have been calling for Wesley to start against Liverpool in the quarter-finals on the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @AVFCchats shared a post on their page asking their followers who they think should start up top for Villa, Wesley or Jonathan Kodjia.
This then gathered some replies from Villa fans who decided they want to see Wesley start in the match.
Who should start for Villa in the game against Liverpool?
Wesley
Jonathan Kodjia
Here’s a sample of Villa fans calling for Wesley to start ahead of Kodjia on Wednesday:
Wesley – he can’t be tired because he doesn’t do anything

I would start with wes upfront if he can’t score in tuesday’s game then i think it’s fair to say he needs to be dropped had his chance up step the man call @J_Kodjia who i think offers more up top

Wes needs to get a goal to get his confidence back

The Brazilian, who is valued at £27 million (Transfermarkt), has been on a dry spell in terms of goal scoring for Villa in recent weeks. In 17 appearances for Dean Smith’s side, the 23-year-old has only managed to score four goals for the club. His last goal came back in early October in Villa’s 5-1 win over Norwich where he bagged a brace (per TransferMarkt).
No chance Chester will play. Wesley will Start as he needs goals.

What do we think?
Its good to see that some Villa fans have the faith in Wesley to put in a good shift against Liverpool in an effort to get his confidence back. If Wesley does start in the match on Tuesday and gets a goal, it would be a huge boost of confidence for the striker, regardless of the opposition.
