Aston Villa fans have been calling on Twitter for Lovre Kalinic to leave Villa Park in the upcoming January transfer window.

This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by 24sata (4th December 2019) that the Villa goalkeeper is willing to accept a 50% pay cut to force a move away from Birmingham next month.

This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who would be happy to see the Croatian leave in January.

Does Lovre Kalinic have a future at Villa Park?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Here’s a sample of Villa fans wanting Kalinic to exit the club:

The 29-year-old, who is currently valued at £3.15 million, according to Transfermarkt, has not made one appearance in the Villa first squad at all this season (per Transfermarkt). With Tom Heaton securing the number one spot for Dean Smith’s side, there seems to be no way back for the Croatian.

Now this fairly recent update alleging Kalinic to be willing to take a pay cut to force a move out seems to be the nail in the coffin on his Villa career.

What do we think?

It’s a shame Kalinic’s time at Villa is looking to come to an end. But with the ‘keeper only making eight appearances for the club in his time at Villa Park, it seems as though he would not be missed by the fans if he leaves.
