Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to share their views on the latest injury update on Jota.
This comes after the official Aston Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page relaying quotes from Dean Smith’s recent press conference.
Smith claimed that Jota is now back to full match fitness and will be aiming for a place in the starting XI for their midweek clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Should Jota start against Chelsea?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Villa fans delighted with Jota’s latest update:

The Spanish winger has been out with an injury since October, with his last appearance for Villa coming in their 3-1 win over fellow Premier League side Brighton in the third round of the Carabao Cup, in which the Spaniard scored (per Transfermarkt).
With this latest injury update from Smith, some Villa fans have voiced their opinion on his return.
I’d like to see him in a proper number 10 role with jack to play in and around Wesley

Good option to have on the bench but stick with same team, obviously apart from Elmo for Freddie

What do we think?
After not featuring for Villa since September, it’s good to see some Villa fans stay positive on the winger and hoping to see him play in the team as soon as he can. Although, it appears as if not all fans are convinced by the former Birmingham City man, with his one goal this season possible being the reason behind that.
In the festive period with so many games to be played, Dean Smith will need all of his squad players available to use.
