Some Aston Villa fans have been praising Wesley’s performance after his display against Manchester United at the weekend.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @avfchistory shared a post on their page listing the Villa team’s player ratings made by Sky Sports after their 2-2 draw against United.
This post then gathered many replies from Villa fans claiming Wesley’s rating of five out of 10 was too low.

The Brazilian has come under scrutiny recently for his lack of goals for Dean Smith’s side so far this season. In 14 appearances for Villa, the 23-year-old has only managed to score four goals (per Transfermarkt).
But despite not scoring at the weekend against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, Wesley’s performance impressed a lot of Villa fans who were quick to notice his improving displays.

What do we think?
It seems that Wesley is on the right track to becoming the player he was brought to Villa to be. All he needs to do now is score more goals to silence any doubters that may share concerns over his goalscoring ability.
Of course, signing for £22 million was always going to heap pressure on his back, so now it’s up to him to live up to the hype and repay the club for the hefty fee.
