Some Celtic fans are hailing Chris Sutton after his latest tweet sees him poke fun at their Old Firm rivals following their 1-0 loss to the Hoops in the League Cup final on Sunday evening.
In what was a thrilling game at the weekend, Neil Lennon helped his club win the 20th Scottish League Cup title crown. The 1-0 win didn’t just see Christopher Jullien score from a set-piece with over half an hour to be played.
It also saw Alfredo Morelos miss a penalty, as Fraser Forster denied the Colombian. Jeremie Frimpong was also sent off during these few minutes (BBC).
But it is Sutton’s latest tweet that has sent Celtic fans into raptures. They are hailing Sutton for having a dig at Rangers.
Do you love what Chris Sutton does on Twitter?
Yes, long may it continue!

They can’t win the big games! No point beating teams like hibs and Hamilton, if you can’t win when you really need too! Always will be bottlers! 10 in a row a certainty

This was the second Old Firm derby of the season and it was the Hoops’ second win the derby this season too. Before last night, the last Old Firm took place on the 1st of September. It saw the Hoops win 2-0, thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and versatile veteran Jonny Hayes.
As things stand, both sides are through or close to being through to the knockout rounds of the competition in the UEFA Europa League. Celtic have finished top of their group for the first time in history, while Rangers are first in their group too. But are only one point above second-placed Porto and third-placed Young Boys.
In the Premiership, Celtic are top of the league. And recently, they stretched their lead at the top to two points, as Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw by Aberdeen while the Hoops beat Hamilton 2-1 thanks to a Scott Brown stoppage-time winner.
What do we think?
It was a big moment in the season for the Hoops, even though Rangers could well have won or would have atleast taken the game to a draw. Morelos’ penalty miss was crucial, but Celtic have to make sure that they step up their game in the league and not let the lead slip.
