Newcastle United fans are loving in-form Jonjo Shelvey’s recent outings, with the 27-year-old scoring consecutively in the Premier League.
Shelvey is currently in amazing form, scoring in his last three Premier League matches against tough opposition, including third-place Manchester City and Sheffield United who are currently eighth. The 27-year-old has scored five goals in 11 league appearances so far this season, making him the Magpies top goalscorer.
Fans waxed lyrical over the former Liverpool man’s recent displays, with some lauding his performances and comparing him with some of the very best in the Premier League as Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne appeared to get an honourable mention.

Should Jonjo Shelvey be in the England squad?
Yes
No
These fans seem to believe that if Shelvey can continue this form, an England call-up should be awarded. With five goals from the midfield, you can’t help feel sorry for the 27-year-old if he doesn’t at least get a chance in the national side.
All them goals and not a single hair on his ed

What Do We Think?
On his current form, Shelvey, who is valued at £13.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), could definitely make a case for his inclusion in the England team, however perhaps, Gareth Southgate would need to see this form continue over a longer period of time before the 27-year-old has any real chance of getting on the plane to Euro 2020, especially given some of the other players available to the Three Lions at the moment.
