A lot of Spurs fans were happy to see Moussa Sissoko booked during the 2-1 win over Brighton on Boxing Day, as it will mean that the Frenchman will miss the trip to Norwich due to suspension.
Sissoko picked up his fifth booking of the season after an altercation with Dan Burn during the game against Graham Potter’s side on Boxing Day, so he will be unavailable for selection for the game at Carrow Road on Saturday. Although the Frenchman has looked impressive at times under Mourinho so far this season, fans are clearly excited to see an alternative midfield partnership as they prepare to face Daniel Farke’s Norwich side.
Spurs originally signed Sissoko from Newcastle in 2016 and the 30-year-old midfielder has gone on to make 150 appearances for the North London club in his three years at the club; scoring just four goals. Although two of those goals have come under Mourinho, it seems to be a common opinion amongst fans that Mourinho should opt for a different midfield duo after a disappointing display from Sissoko in the win over Brighton.

These Spurs fans were clearly delighted to see that Sissoko will miss the game against Norwich, with many perhaps hoping to see Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele get rare starts.
What do we think?
Although Sissoko, who is valued at £22.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has not been in the best form of late, losing any player to suspension will not be ideal for Mourinho. It will be interesting to see who he opts to use in midfield, with Harry Winks also suspended, although a game against bottom-of-the-table Norwich is perhaps the ideal time to test out a new partnership.
