Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the club’s latest announcement on Nat Phillips.
This comes after the official Liverpool Twitter account shared a post on their page that the club have “reached an agreement” with Stuttgart for Nat Phillips to return from his loan spell next month.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the latest move.
Are you glad Nat Phillips has been recalled to the Liverpool squad?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to this latest club announcement:

Smart move. We are short at CB

The post also said that Phillips would be eligible for their FA Cup tie against Everton. The 22-year-old centre-half joined the Bundesliga side in August this year on a season-long loan deal (per TransferMarkt). But with this latest news revealing the Englishman will return to Merseyside at the start of January.
This news had some fans thinking the move was down to the injuries to Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren.
Feels like a new signing imo.

Brilliant, I thought he really showed potential in the 2018/19 pre season. Get him training with VVD

What do we think?
If the injuries to Lovren and Matip are more serious than first expected, then it’s a smart move from the club to recall Phillips to add cover to their defensive line. If Phillips is called into action for Jurgen Klopp’s side, he will need to be up and ready for the challenge after spending the first half of the season away in Germany.
