After he made his Premier League debut in the 5-0 win over Burnley on Saturday, Spurs fans are now hoping that Troy Parrott can make his first start against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week.
As Spurs prepare to face the Bundesliga champions at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday evening, Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering handing another landmark appearance in the final group game of Spurs’ Champions League campaign (via Daily Hotspur).
The North London club have already secured qualification into the knockout stages but cannot overtake Bayern Munich in first position, so travel to Munich for what is effectively a dead rubber game, with many Spurs fans hoping to see a youthful line-up.
Parrott came on as a late substitute in the 5-0 demolition of Sean Dyche’s Burnley at the weekend and could even start against managerless Bayern on Wednesday evening.
Despite his lack of senior action for Spurs, the 17-year-old has already made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland and has been seriously touted as a star of the future.
Should Troy Parrott start against Bayern on Wednesday?

Hope he does. Give Harry a bit of a rest. Busy December ahead and nothing to lose in this game…

Spurs fans are clearly excited about the prospect of Parrott playing against Bayern on Wednesday and will be hoping to see him put in a strong performance against the German giants.
What do we think?
Parrott’s goal-scoring exploits with the youth team at Spurs suggests that he is more than ready for senior football and he looks set to replace Harry Kane in the starting line up against Bayern. In a no-pressure environment, you would expect Mourinho to give a few younger players some game time, so it will be interesting to see how a makeshift Spurs side deals with a Bayern side which, of course, won 7-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in October.
