Spurs fans were treated to the news this week that the club are interested in bringing in Hull winger Jarrod Bowen in January.
According to The Northern Echo (via Ricky Sacks), Spurs scouts have convinced manager Jose Mourinho to try and sign the 22-year-old in the upcoming January transfer window. The winger has been in sensational form for the Championship side so far this season, hitting 16 goals in all competitions for the Tigers and it seems as if Mourinho has been swayed by the prolific winger’s quality.
Bowen looks to be target of several Premier League clubs including Spurs, with the Englishman having now hit 54 goals in 122 appearances for Hull City since joining from Hereford in 2014. The youngster can play on either wing or up front and could well be the perfect back-up option for Harry Kane in Mourinho’s Spurs squad.
Would Bowen be a good signing for Spurs?

Perfect backup for Kane
Won’t demand to be a starter and could also cover Moura— Alex Benson-Wilson (@alexbw11) December 18, 2019

@THFCEren not to bad for a back up to Lucas would be a good signing if he’s happy to be rotated considering he has offers from teams like Newcastle

These Spurs fans are clearly excited about the prospect of signing Bowen and feel the 22-year-old could be an excellent back-up option to the first team.
What do we think?
Bowen is young, English and would probably come relatively cheap; with transfermarkt currently valuing the Hull City man at £9 million. He has made a very impressive start to the season; averaging a 7.42 rating, so a move to the Premier League looks increasingly likely, especially if Mourinho has been convinced to bring him in.
