Spurs fans were delighted to hear that midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is expected to be fit for Sunday’s game against Chelsea.
The Frenchman has struggled with injury since the arrival of Mourinho; making just one start against Bournemouth, but the club have confirmed that he is back training with the squad after recovering from a minor groin injury. The 22-year-old joined Spurs in a club-record deal over the summer, but is yet to make his mark in the Premier League; averaging just a 6.86 rating in his 12 appearances in the league so far this season.
Although Ndombele is unlikely to be thrown straight into the starting line-up against Frank Lampard’s side on Sunday, it is a welcome boost for Mourinho as they head into the busy festive period. The former Lyon man has showed glimpses of quality with his performances in the Champions League; averaging an impressive 7.46 rating, but may yet need more time to adjust to the pace of the Premier League.
Does a fully fit Ndombele start in Mourinho's midfield?

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted to see Ndombele back to fitness and will be hoping to see more of the Frenchman under Jose Mourinho.
What do we think?
Ndombele has looked impressive at times for Spurs, but needs to work on his fitness if he is going to become a top player in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see how effective a fully fit Ndombele can be under the management of Mourinho.
