A lot of Newcastle United fans don not believe the latest takeover claim. This time from Joseph DaGrosa of GACP Sports.
The American businessmen confirmed he had held positive talks with Justin Barnes but then said that he was unlikely to reach an agreement.
Do you believe this takeover will happen?
Yes
No
This has irritated many Newcastle fans who are sick of these takeover rumours.
Joseph DaGrosa to NBC's Pro Soccer Talk on GACP's Newcastle takeover bid: 'We’re still talking. I’m not sure we’re going to reach an agreement.' #nufc

Maybe next time ???

Huge whiff of desperation off that. Except they’re not going to get the support from the fans they expect

Anyone that goes public on a possible takeover makes it null and void. Prefer to concentrate on enjoying the fact we’re 9th at Christmas #NUFC #NUFCTakeover

Not happening

What a shock

Can he bring back Strawberry Place development land?… No…..then it’s too late to save the club.
The club is gone, no longer able to compete or draw upon its one resource…. a huge fan base within a transport and entertainment hub.

What do we think?
Mike Ashley said in an interview that the only way a takeover would ever happen is if it was completed in private, and the bidder paid the price that he wanted.
So, the fact that DaGrosa has made this public seems to suggest that GACP will not be taking over the Toon anytime soon.
This is the fourth takeover rumour in the past two years, and many Magpies fans are understandably sick of these rumours.
The first was Amanda Staveley, but that fell through then there was Peter Kenyon, which also fell through, and earlier this year, there was a bid from a company called the Bin Zyayed Group that turned out to be total rubbish.
It seems that a lot of Newcastle fans are just happy to see their side performing so well in the league.
