German publication Sport Bild, as relayed by City Chief on Twitter, have sensationally claimed Manchester City will need to sell Leroy Sane if they wish to make any new signings due to the fact they are under observation from UEFA in regards to their compliance with FFP.
Sane is being heavily linked with a return to Germany with Bayern Munich said to be showing a strong interest in the 23-year-old. Whilst the City faithful have accepted the former Schalke man’s future maybe elsewhere, they have reacted angrily to Bild’s claims – insisting they shouldn’t be allowed to publish such unsubstantiated reports and that they are driving the speculation in order to help force the move through.
Could there be any truth in Bild's claims?
Yes
No
We just had hundreds of millions put into the business… FFP surely is no longer an issue. Plus, it’s ‘news’ from Germany suggesting we MUST sell Sane to avoid issues. I mean, come on…

What do we think?
It does feel as though the German outlet will do or say anything in order to validate their claims Sane is Munich bound. The City winger. who is valued at £90m-rated by TransferMarkt, looks increasingly likely to leave the club if not in January than almost certainly in the summer but there are no indications the Manchester-based club need a deal to be done in order to allow them to bring in players.
