As we approach the end of another decade the club’s official Twitter account have shared the first montage of a video series in which they will be looking back at the most successful period in the clubs history.
The supporters are loving the trip down memory lane and have attributed the change in mentality at the club to one man in particular, Roberto Mancini.

The Italian led the Cityzen’s to their first Premier League title in the 2011/12 season and that proved to be the catalyst for the incredible success that followed. Under Mancini’s leadership the club announced themselves as the undisputed best team in the Premier League and laid the foundations for their future successes to be built upon.

When Roberto Mancini arrived at the Etihad Stadium, for the first time in a long time the club had a top class manager capable of guiding them to the pinnacle of English football. Prior to his arrival, there had been investment but the Italian was, perhaps, the final piece in the jigsaw which saw them lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in such dramatic fashion.
Since his departure in May 2013, every City manager that has followed with the exception of Brian Kidd who took temporary charge for just a month has guided the Manchester club to a title – proof that the inaugural Premier League title catapulted the club into a golden era.
