Three of Manchester City’s midfield players have been ranked amongst the top ten in world football.  Four-Four-Two have published a feature in which they rank who they believe to be the finest central midfielders in the world and David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne all made the cut.

The veteran David Silva has won four Premier League titles with the Manchester-based club since arriving in July 2010. Signed from Valencia, the now 33-year-old has made 415 appearances for the club scoring 74 goals and providing an incredible 136 assists. The feature hails his ‘almost flawless and tremendous technique’ and as a result, the Spaniard is ranked at number ten in the world.

The position of fourth is occupied by another Silva, this time however, it’s Bernardo. The Portuguese international, previously of Monaco signed for the Cityzens in July 2017 and has made quite the impression since. In first position, meaning he is currently ranked as the number one central-midfield player in the world, you will find Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian was once deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge only to come back from a period away and take the Premier League by storm – this time in the blue of Manchester City.
