Leicester City defender James Justin is the subject of interest from Championship club Fulham.  Football Insider have revealed the west Londoners have made an enquiry regarding taking the 21-year-old on loan in January in order to assist them in their promotion push.

Scott Parker’s side currently occupy third place in the second tier and are looking to strengthen defensively heading into the business end of the season.

Justin is said to be highly rated in the East Midlands but opportunities have been extremely limited due to the impressive form of Ricardo Pereira who arrived in the summer from Porto.

TIF Tactics – Would Leicester be leaving themselves short?

Brendan Rodgers has a difficult decision to make. Loaning the young defender out would, in the long run, benefit the player and provide him with the experience and playing time he so desperately needs however it would leave the Foxes short of cover at right-back should anything happen to Ricardo.

Leicester captured Justin from Luton on a five-year-contract and the fee could rise up to £8m. He was named in the League One team of the year following his impressive displays at full-back – a campaign which resulted in his club being promoted up into the Championship.

Comfortable at both right and left-back, Justin is an exciting young talent and so it’s no wonder Fulham are interested. It’s a deal that could be mutually beneficial for both clubs and of course the player, but it remains to be seen whether Rodgers would be willing to allow the player to join Parker’s promotion hopefuls prior to identifying a replacement.
