A lot of Newcastle United fans are thrilled that Alan Shearer has included Federico Fernandez, Martin Dubravka, and Jonjo Shelvey in his Team of the Week.
It is easy to see why Shearer included all three in his side.
Dubravka made two fantastic saves and claimed the ball from crosses numerous times while Fernandez made ten clearances and four interceptions.
Shelvey scored a brilliant goal, and amazingly it was his first Premier League goal for Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Who was Newcastle's best player on Saturday?
Shelvey
Fernandez
Dubravka
Shearer’s team selection has gone down brilliantly on Twitter with many Toon supporters.

Dubravka made 3 or 4 crucial saves. Martin kept a clean sheet because his defence played amazing. Dubravka deserves it

What do we think?
Newcastle put in one of their best performances of the season to deny Manchester City on Tyneside.
The displays of Fernandez and Dubravka at the back were fantastic, and Shelvey showed his undoubted quality with a beautiful curling effort (1:30) that left Ederson with no chance.
The strike from the former Liverpool man also made him the Toon’s top scorer this season with three.
Newcastle were dreadful against Aston Villa, but they responded perfectly and must now try and replicate that sort of performance on Thursday against an excellent Sheffield United side.
