Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to share their opinions of Oliver Skipp playing for England’s Under-21 team.

This comes after Twitter account @BnsComps shared a video of Skipp’s impressive international performance against the Netherlands Under-21 team.

This post then gathered a number of replies from Spurs fans who were pleased with what they saw in the match footage.

Here’s a sample of Spurs fans excited by Skipp’s performance:

Skipp played 90 minutes in the England Under-21’s 2-1 friendly defeat to the Netherlands Under-21’s. The video showcased a number of impressive movements on and off the ball, as well as passes Skipp made in the match.

Despite being on the losing side, Skipp’s performance caught the eye of some Spurs fans that were pleased by what they saw from the midfielder.

Interestingly, the footage was from prior to Mourinho’s appointment, but one fan even made a joke that he put on a show because new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho was watching.

What do we think?

It’s good to see the 19-year-old play well for his country and getting recognition from his club’s supporters. The midfielder has made 16 appearances for the Spurs first-team, picking up two assists along the way (per Transfermarkt). Although, he’s rarely been seen in the first-team ranks this season, having featured in just 84 minutes of football for the North London club.

This latest performance for the England Under-21’s will further prove to some Spurs fans that he could soon become a potential regular first-team player in Jose Mourinho’s squad for the future.
