It seems as if after every single game he plays, the spotlight is pointed at Alfredo Morelos. The 23-year-old is lighting up not just the Scottish Premiership, but the UEFA Europa League too. Last night Morelos opened the scoring in Rangers’ 2-0 win against Porto at Ibrox.

And with each goal he scores, the interest in him from other clubs raises. A few weeks ago it was reported that Crystal Palace value the striker at around £20 million (The Scottish Sun). But after his goal versus Porto, some fans think the price has shot right up. While one supporter thinks he is now worth £30million, others think it is much higher than that.

Another group of fans think that he is priceless. Instead of selling him, they reckon he is irreplaceable and deserves a lifetime contract. One fan even suggests a multi-generational lifetime contract for all the Morelos’ yet to come.

What do we think?

If Morelos continues to score at the rate has been then there is no doubt that his value will continue to shoot up. Who knows how much he will be worth come January, and if he stays for the season and wins Rangers’ their 55th league title, Steven Gerrard could be locking him up in shackles to prevent the Colombian from leaving.
